ARGOS KIDS WISHLIST APP

Argos is a British retailer operating in the UK and Ireland. With 737 stores and 340 million website visits a year, it is one of the largest high street retailers online in the UK. There is a tradition for British kids in the weeks leading up to Christmas to pour over the Argos catalogue and cut out presents they’d like and paste them onto a collage. In a new move for Argos, they moved that experience into the digital arena. This app is the product of that ideal, and available on phone and tablet on iOS and Android.

Role:

This was a two month contract at the Argos Innovation Hub to help develop a Christmas Wishlist App for kids (4 – 7 years old). I was the UX lead, and worked closely with three devs and the PM, and a mix of UI folk (both an agency and a handful of illustrators), and produced personas, wireframes and userflows for the app, as well as a some adhoc jack of all trades work (scrum master, temporary pm, recruitment). I also handled the recruitment for user testing.

I was bought back for the second iteration the next year. It was a two month contract with I was the UX lead, working closely with a Visual Designer, a PM and a 3 man development team. I produced wireframes for the now-native apps, and managed the email creation/build team.
